Marillion | Real to Reel | 1984

**Marillion – Real to Reel (1984 UK Vinyl LP)**

Original 1984 UK pressing of Marillion's *Real to Reel*, released on EMI Records, catalogue number EG 2603031. Featuring A-2U/B-1U matrices and TOWNHOUSE mastering stamps on both sides, complete with its original die-cut photo-montage inner sleeve.

Recorded during Marillion's early years with charismatic frontman Fish, *Real to Reel* captures the British progressive rock band performing live during their rise to prominence in the early 1980s.

Released between the studio albums *Fugazi* and *Misplaced Childhood*, this live mini-album showcases the band's distinctive combination of atmospheric keyboards, intricate guitar work, powerful rhythms and Fish's theatrical vocal delivery.

Featuring Steve Rothery on guitar, Mark Kelly on keyboards, Pete Trewavas on bass and Ian Mosley on drums, alongside Fish, the recordings demonstrate the musical chemistry that helped establish Marillion as one of the leading bands of the British neo-progressive rock movement.

Highlights include the dramatic *Assassing*, the atmospheric *Incubus*, the energetic *Cinderella Search* and the epic *Forgotten Sons*.
