### Southern Rock at Its Hard-Rocking Best

By the early 1980s, Blackfoot had developed a formidable reputation on both sides of the Atlantic, particularly among British audiences who embraced the band's heavier approach to traditional Southern rock.

Unlike some of their contemporaries, Blackfoot combined Southern blues and boogie influences with powerful electric guitar arrangements that appealed equally to fans of classic rock and heavy metal.

*Highway Song Live* captures this distinctive sound in its natural environment: the concert stage.

The album includes energetic performances of established Blackfoot favourites such as *Train, Train*, *Fly Away*, *Good Morning* and the epic *Highway Song*, showcasing the band's ability to combine melodic passages with explosive guitar-driven rock.

The recording also serves as an excellent reminder of the important relationship between American Southern rock bands and British rock audiences during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

For collectors of **Blackfoot, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws and classic Southern rock**, this original UK pressing is a worthwhile addition to any vinyl collection.

With its Near Mint vinyl, original Very Good Plus picture sleeve, early A1/B1 matrices and identifiable Town House mastering stamp, this is a well-preserved example of a classic American live rock album.
