Twisted Sister – You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll | Vinyl LP | Classic 1983 Heavy Metal
A classic vinyl edition of Twisted Sister – You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll, the American heavy metal band's explosive second studio album, originally released in 1983.
Featuring the unmistakable vocals of Dee Snider, the powerful twin-guitar attack of Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda, and the band's trademark combination of heavy riffs, rebellious attitude and anthemic choruses, this album captures Twisted Sister during their rise to international recognition.
Featuring the classic tracks The Kids Are Back, I Am (I'm Me), Ride to Live, Live to Ride and the thunderous title track, You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll remains an essential album for collectors of 1980s heavy metal and hard rock.
About the Album
Originally released in 1983, You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll was Twisted Sister's second studio album and represented a significant step forward following their 1982 debut, Under the Blade.
Having developed a formidable reputation through years of relentless live performances, particularly on the New York and Long Island club circuits, Twisted Sister were beginning to establish themselves as one of the most exciting heavy metal bands of the early 1980s.
The album was produced by Stuart Epps and recorded during a period when the band were developing the larger-than-life sound and image that would soon bring them worldwide success.
Unlike the more polished commercial direction of their subsequent breakthrough album, Stay Hungry, this recording retains much of the raw energy, aggression and uncompromising attitude of the band's earlier material.
The opening track, The Kids Are Back, immediately establishes the album's rebellious character, combining a driving guitar riff with one of Dee Snider's trademark singalong choruses.
I Am (I'm Me) became one of the band's defining early anthems, celebrating individuality and refusing to conform to expectations.
Ride to Live, Live to Ride delivers another powerful combination of heavy guitar work and memorable songwriting, while the title track, You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll, has become one of the most enduring statements of the band's musical identity.
The album captures Twisted Sister at a particularly important point in their career, before the worldwide commercial success of We're Not Gonna Take It and I Wanna Rock introduced them to a much broader audience.

The combination of Dee Snider's powerful vocal delivery, the band's dual-guitar arrangements and their theatrical stage presence helped distinguish Twisted Sister from many of their contemporaries.

You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll is an excellent example of that sound.
