### About the Album

Released in 1987, *1987* transformed Whitesnake into one of the biggest hard rock bands of the decade, combining powerful guitar riffs, soaring vocals and polished production.

Fronted by the unmistakable **David Coverdale**, the album features guitarist **John Sykes**, bassist **Neil Murray** and drummer **Aynsley Dunbar**, with production by **Mike Stone and Keith Olsen**.

The album includes some of Whitesnake's most celebrated recordings, including:

- *Still of the Night* – an epic hard rock anthem featuring John Sykes' powerful guitar work.
- *Is This Love* – one of the band's best-known power ballads.
- *Here I Go Again 87* – the re-recorded version of the Whitesnake classic.
- *Crying in the Rain* – a dramatic reworking of the earlier Whitesnake song.
- *Bad Boys* – a high-energy example of the band's heavier 1980s sound.

The album's commercial success helped establish Whitesnake as an international rock phenomenon and remains a defining release of the late-1980s hard rock era.
